Written In Dust

Three friends, young, rural migrants, arrive in the city seeking the new life that modern Beijing promises, but their struggle leads to moral corruption, betrayal and, ultimately, tragedy. This contemporary silent film, with a modern take on traditional Chinese music for the live music accompaniment, finds universal personal drama at the heart of the most rapid urbanisation that the world has ever seen.
