The story’s hero is Kevin Troy, a 26-year-old Hawaii surf bum, whose dad went missing in the Vietnam War 25 years earlier. In a public relations ploy, Kevin is recruited by Jodie Zeus, a GI Jane Army Captain, for a POW/MIA mission to search for the remains of the dad he never knew. To Jodie's chagrin, Kevin proves to be an inept soldier, but during his quest, he stumbles upon a dirty U.S. political secret -- and gets snatched by an opium warlord with ties to a rogue C.I.A. operative.
