A young woman catches a water taxi to the isolated bach she has booked for a weekend in the Malborough Sounds. When she arrives, she finds a young man already in residence, who claims to have booked the same bach. With no phone coverage, and the boat not due to return for two days, they have no choice but to share. And so the secrets that have brought them both to be hiding away from the world are tentatively shared.
