NO MORE THINGS

Synopsis:

No More Things does not solve all the lingering questions of the mystery that is surrounding the bizarre phenomena of shoetrees nor tries to provide answers about the fascination of shoes. No More Things is a documentary about love, hate and the desert. It is a film about the phenomena of shoetrees, trees with shoes thrown all over them. It is a film about the people that were met next to these trees during a journey from shoetree to shoetree which began in the summer of 2011.It is a film about the most famous shoetree in the USA, the Middlegate shoetree, which was chopped down on New Year’s Eve 2011. The man who did it all became the most hated man in the state of Nevada. This man’s take on love and his flight is a fictionalized part within the documentary.Fiction and reality form a perfect circle of life, love and hate.Love and hate is also the topic of the Barefoot Professor and the Boston Barfoot Hiking Group. In a documentary within the documentary they tell something about the importance that shoes play in society. They tell about the benefits of a barefoot lifestyle but most important, they tell about the burden to live shoeless in a shoe fixated society. The Middlegate shoetree and its end or its beginning is the films center point. It is here where love and hate collided in a brutal and forceful way. It’s here where three short animations will open the curtain to yet another universe about love hate and the desert or some fiction that had really took place.
