Mermaids Do It Better

Synopsis:

"Mermaids Do It Better"

Genre: Comedy

Logline:
A vociferous mermaid, expelled from the sea for her free-spirited tongue, helps a dexterous girl, whose father is amidst a boiling election campaign.

Synopsis:
CORALIA, a mermaid sea-web-blogger, finds out about an election and decides to help its underdog FINN, who lives with his daughter TRIXIE at HESTER'S place. Hester, the sitting major, has no intention to give up her throne when Trixie finds out about Coralia's secret, which forces the mermaid to hypnotize Trixie to protect her identity.
Coralia gets Finn the best Internet representation and uses inflatable animal dolls as reporters for her first live appearance, which almost gives Finn a heart attack. Hester barely survives Coralia's cooking experience, which sends her into the bed while Coralia turns paparazzi, snaps photos of Hester in an electrifying exercise with Coralia's animal dolls. Coralia finds out about how Trixie lost her mother and ended up with a lifelong scar of a shark bite. Hester returns from the land of dreams only to see her lead in the pre poolings dropping by the minute when she discovers Coralia's secret and blackmails Coralia with it.
Out of options, Coralia delivers Hester a hidden sea treasure, but Hester is hungry for more. Coralia finds out that she can return to her sea kingdom and decides that Trixie is more important to her than her sea life. She leaks Hester's shady past to the reporters and authorities, which sends Hester into prison, and Finn to his new job as the city's major. Trixie finds in Coralia a new friend and Coralia in Finn, a partner for life.
